Gain Access to Cigna Patients

Dental Health Alliance®, L.L.C. (DHA®) is excited to share that we have entered into an arrangement with Cigna to access the DHA network which may increase your patient base. Effective March 1, 2025, members whose PPO dental coverage is insured or administered by Cigna will have in-network access to the DHA network in all states as provided in your agreement with DHA1.

Which network fees will apply?

Your DHA fee schedule will apply when you provide covered services to Cigna PPO members; however, if you are also an in-network provider for another network accessed by Cigna, a different fee schedule may apply. If you have questions regarding your participation status or reimbursement rates, please contact Cigna at 800-244-6224 on or after March 1, 2025.

Important Information About Orthodontic Claim Payments:

To determine how Cigna calculates comprehensive orthodontic claim payments, we recommend submitting a predetermination prior to beginning the treatment to confirm your expected payments.
Note: Cigna's claim payment calculation is based on treatment duration and may impact your compensation for comprehensive orthodontic service.

If you do not wish to participate with Cigna for orthodontic services, you may opt out of this arrangement using the information above. If you choose to participate in this arrangement, you agree that your payment for orthodontic treatment will be calculated in accordance with Cigna's payment policies when treating Cigna members.

When a member comes to your office for care:

Check patient eligibility/benefits and verify that the patient's plan utilizes one of the following networks:

  • Cigna Total.
  • Cigna Total Plus.
  • Cigna Advantage.
  • A Cigna client specific network (see the list at the bottom of this page).
